“The community in esports is filled with the nicest people you’ll ever meet and I feel that Smash, especially, is really great at getting new players involved. It’s built on the idea of no online-play, forcing players to get out and take on your opponents in real life. This fosters a stronger sense of community compared to other esports titles. It’s developed my perspective of an esport as something you centralize your life around, and without it I think I’d just be a schmuck.”
